Do you know any Free FTP application?

    can anybody recommend any decent decent Free FTP application ? where you dont have to purchase a licence to use it ever?

    (i know SmartFTP and CuteFTP but need a free one).

    Ive installed Filezilla, but somthings wrong-

    When i click the filezilla icon, somthing else comes up- (asking you to enter server address + password) - see attached screen shot

    I dont know how to get to the server/hardrive interface - which is where i want to go, to transfer files....

    see attached screen shot, and please instruct me how to get to the server/hardrive interface thanks

    FileZilla by far is the best program to use - for free that is. I have tried quite a few other ones and they don't completely stack up.

    Plus interesting fact one of the top 5 US banks uses filezilla for connecting its vendors to transfer files so it has to be pretty good.

    Filezilla is hands-down the best WINDOWS ftp GUI for any price - but windows can do FTP transfers on the command-line without installing anything.

    For mac, the best FTP software I've found is actually Cyberduck. And I'm pretty picky with my FTP software.

    For linux, I stand by gFTP, and it's layout is my favorite - two lists side-by-side. one of your local drive and the other is the remote drive. I wish all FTP programs were like that.

    If you are familiar with Dreamweaver, there is a inbuilt FTP program which you can use at design time.

    i simply refuse to believe that anyone who has used both smartftp and filezilla prefers filezilla.

    I was using SmartFTP but now I am using FileZilla. I cant remember why I changed, but Im happy with FileZilla.
