As of Jan. 4th, 2009 the money market is 1.39%
Do you keep any money in paypal anymore like you use to in the 6%+ range?

I guess its only a few bucks anyway unless you have thousands in it :D

Actually i did not keep any money in paypal coz i always withdraw it via credit card.
I don't think money market pay to best yield in the market even at 6% last time.Coz i better let my personal wealth personnel manage the fund for me and the average return is 15%++/month.

15%++ per month? So, at least 435% return on your investment every year? Maybe you should think about switching to another business. ;)

Back to the original question, I always try to keep less than $3000 (or maybe $5000) in my PayPal account, somehow it doesn't feel that safe, since PayPal has been known to close some accounts for not much reason whatsoever ... I don't give them any reason to do so, but still, I don't want to play with my luck.

I think there big enough now to be pretty safe in it. I mean to just HOLD fund in it, not making transactions getting in disputes.

Are you sure about the % of return vis-a-vis the time period?

I guess he meant to mention it as 15% /year....which itself is very good! :)

Yes...you are correct....But it also comes with a rider 'You are at the risk of losing it, by the same percent...in even lesser time!' :(

I'd keep a minimum in paypal....remember, it's not a banking institution...if they, for whatever reasons, want to limit your account, hold your money, etc...they can and will. It could only take one bad transaction.
