    I like movies with happy endings but I even more like movies with sad ending because it makes you think a little bit more. For example if you have seen The Mist, Dead Set or Cloverfield you know what I'm talking about. And also UNITED 93, but I really wish for happy ending in that movie, unfortunately that wasn't possible because it's based on a true story.

    I love happy endings but some movies may seem like it's leading towards a sad end and they tack on a happy ending just for the sake of happy ending. A few movies come to mind. I don't want to state which ones because it may spoil the movie, but sometimes you learn more about the movie if it goes down the sad ending route, imo. I agree with bchester, unexpected endings are more enjoyable. I like the unexpected ending more then just sappy happy ending or a tragic sad ending you saw a mile away.

    In fact, I'm the girl who always reads the last page of a book to make sure it has a happy ending BEFORE I decide if I want to read the book or not.
