For me, I like stories with happy endings, cause I believe in reality we all want a happy ending in our own lives.
Yeah ! I like the happy ending . Because happy ending also can make me happy . I hope everyone has a happy life .
Some movies are made to be different, they start from a good note and end on sad and vice-versa. But yes, the essence of the story must remain the same.
There used to be a time when movies were pure entertainment and mostly had fantasy in mind as the theme. They usually ended in a fairy-tale type of happiness ever after for the hero and heroine. Over time, movies became a true reflection of real life events and what happened in the movies now show a depiction of world events as they impact modern lives. And so we will have to treat their message in the context as we deal with our present reality as well..
Most people seem to like happy endings. A long time ago when the movie "Dodgeball" was filmed they made the ending with the underdog team losing at the last minute. They tested it with audiences and the viewers hated it. They wanted the underdog team to win. So they producer went back and refilmed the ending to make the underdog team the winners. It was a successful movie - once they gave it a happy ending.
I like films with an appropriate ending. I do like happy endings, but there's little worse than a forced or obvious happy ending as we've seen in far too many films in the last three decades. Equally, an inappropriate, forced sad ending isn't any use either.
