Adding a like or share button is getting quite common these days. But do you actually add something telling people to like a post or a page on your site? I've noticed that actually inviting visitors to like or share something is much more effective than simply including a like/share button. What do you do?
Pointing it out in your post is more beneficial but make sure it doesn't get to the point that it annoys your readers
I'd rather have an incentive for them to join an email list rather than "like" my page, but yes I do use the Facebook Like button.
I agree its an effective method coz it worked for me too. But the point is that how many of them are really engaging with your page. Need to do a research activity on this
of course, you always need to find a balance... what incentive do you give them? do you promote the actual "liking" or is it just there? not sure what you mean your webpage or the facebook page? i've noticed much more likes if I actually promote it with an image or a short sentence in an actual post! where do you get most of your fans from then?
I have a fan/like-gate followed by a video that describes a service, introduces a free offer, and then directs the viewer to the sign-up form.
Yes I think this is an effective way to tell your readers to like your fan page on Facebook. I guess even News channel sites like BBC and CNN do it while giving some breaking news. Also other way of getting fans might be doing some viral marketing stuff
I just include a like button on my website, but I'll make a post about it to invite users to like our page on facebook. Thanks for the tip!
