I'm interested to know how many people are with an affiliate program and they just can't seem to move into the higher performance tiers. No matter what you do, you can't get into the top paying tiers which would really boost your revenue. For me a few years back it was Amazon until I moved on to other things. What about you?
Back to this topic since I posted it during the Thanksgiving holiday a few weeks back and no one read it. Would anyone be interested in joining forces for Amazon and eBay programs to share an affiliate ID and get earnings boosted by getting in the top paying tiers for their earnings programs? Good tracking IDs would need to be used to determine which revenue came from which person. Is this doable? Are there other tiered affiliate programs that could use this strategy?
If your doing anything under 10k a month forget it unless you are working with a smaller affiliate network. Why not just talk with the affiliate network and find out what goal you need to reach for higher tier payouts.
The issue is that often the tiers are based on performance, depending on the affiliate network. Talking with the affiliate network won't achieve anything. They'll tell you what you need to do to move up to a higher tier, sell more. For example, Amazon's bottom tier is 4% I think. Their top tier is 8.5%. If I'm a small seller and sell $3000 of goods for them each month - I earn $120. But if I'm teamed up with other people sharing an affiliate ID, then we could get to the top earning tier. Now my $120 commission becomes $255.
Well it's not going to happen instantly, I don't use amazon. I can tell you that when I was doing a lot on CJ after I moved some of my business to another CPA network I got a phone call from CJ asking what they needed to do to retain me....... Your right though how well you perform just depends on which network you go too, who knows maybe 10k a month for amazon means nothing.... Each network is different that's why you need to ask if they don't give any info, call other networks. Negotiations are a big part of how I have increased my business.
