Do you have to register as a business to legally trade as a business name online? If so, does anyone know how and where you do this? Another question.. about taxes: In the UK.. Do you have to pay taxes on online sales / ad revenue if you are over 16 or whatever age it is...
Not sure where you are? UK? but I made a post on this the other day. U.S. 1. Go down to county clerk's office, register a DBA (doing business as). It's like $15-25 2. Go to your bank, show them your DBA, open a business banking account. min deposit $50-100. Taxes If online is your sole source of income, or job (like me), then you have to pay quarterly. Fed n state. It's supposed to be an estimate to 110%. Talk to your accountant, or CPA.
From posts I have read here and other places, there is some form of "national" business license you have to apply for or buy in UK. I never paid a lot of attention to the name because I am not there. Most likely it is something similar to a business ID number here in the US.
I think it depends on your country. I am in Korea and in Korea we have to register our business and pay tax. If we are going to make money with korean clients we have to. I promote websites to Korean search Engines.
