Do You Have To Get Permission To Promote Some Programs On Clickbank?

    Hi there,

I've found someone promoting a program on Clickbank that I would also like to promote, and I tried creating an affiliate link to take me directly to the payment page. However when I edit the link to put in my affiliate code, it says that that product is no longer available.

    Any idea why this is?

Also I've looked on the marketplace at Clickbank and I can't find this other program... are they sometimes not displayed on the marketplace?

    Thanks for any help

Surely someone might know the answer? :(

Are some programs not listed on the Clickbank marketplace?

I don't think you need permission. But if you're sending people directly to the buy page than you're messing around with the code. No cookies are saved and there's no guarantee it'll work.

Why not just try it with the regular code, put that in your browser, click the order button and see if it works. Troubleshooting isn't a difficult thing.

I know troubleshooting isn't a difficult thing, thats why I've already tried it.

Somebody has a website which links to "http://2.username.pay.clickbank.net" which takes you to an order form. Yet when I enter my username, it won't load the page and says "This product is no longer for sale". I'm just wondering why this is happening...

    Bob,

You're not putting the correct link, you're putting your clickbank username instead of the affiliate product name that's why it isn't working.
You Should do it like this:

    ProductNumber.yourusername_ProductName.pay.clickbank.net

    for example

    2.badbob_centemax.pay.clickbank.net

However I won't reccommend you doing this, because you don't set a cookie in the users browser this way, and you might lose commission.
What I suggest you to do is to rediret to the sales page using your hoplink by doing the following

    yourusername.productName.hop.clickbank.net
    i.e
    badbob.centemax.hop.clickbank.net

Thanks Ripped, but why is it that when I go to "http://2.username.pay.clickbank.net" it takes me to an orderform, yet when I go to "http://2.myusername.pay.clickbank.net" it won't load?

Bob I didn't quite understand your last post, please clarify,
better yet, post the product you're trying to link to the order page.
Tell me the product name, I'll make the link for you

Ripped, thanks for the help, I have sent you a PM regarding the link I am trying to recreate (didn't want to post that persons clickbank link here).

I'm basically wondering why their clickbank link works, yet when I edit it to insert my username, it doesn't...

I sent you a PM and explained what happens,
a publisher is also an affiliate, and can generate affiliate sales if he promotes other products using his clickbank publisher username

You can promote any product you wish, but just make sure they are actually paying a commission before you promote it.

Thanks guys, think that the problem was that the person was the publisher as well as the affiliate, which is why I was confused...
