    Hi.

I've been wondering how many of you have a full-time job and yet the time to "seriously" work on a blog?
I'm asking, because I REALLY struggle!!

I work full-time, live alone (thus have to do all the chores etc. by myself) and all of my free time I spend on my blog (including EVERYTHING that needs to be done).
I only have a few hours each day and I read and comment on other blogs in my niche, use Twitter, Google+ and Facebook, reply to e-mails and comments, try to optimize Adsense, try to find partners for direct advertisement, write blog posts and and and ....

On top of that I have a blog that focuses on traveling, so I also have to spend a lot of time on sorting all of my photos and "prepare" them for my posts.

Although my blog has been around for 16 months now, I don't even have 100 blog posts yet. I just can't keep up the publishing rhythm that I want.

    How about you guys?
    Any advice for me?
    Do you struggle as well?

If you run a blog that over time can become your main job. Try to put on quality, not quantity. The regularity of the entries is important, if you are not able to do this every day then put the new content every two or three days. Create a list of sites that inspire you and try to learn from the best. If you're really good this blog can become your main source of income.
I noticed that the people who work professionally in the blog are experts and passionate in their field. This is the main key to their success.

I'd love to post every two or three day, but I just can't keep up with the pace.
I try to create quality posts and also do a lot of research before I hit the publish button.

I really wonder how other people find the time to do it.
Most people who just start out have a full-time job, so I just wonder how they do it.

It's called lack of sleep. lol. I work my design job at night. I have a family, kids, chores and the like. So I work from 10pm to about 2am every night. Get up around 7am to go to my main job. It's draining, but my clientele list is growing and hopefully I can fire my boss in the future. How many hours to you put into your blog every day?

I've never done blogging so I cannot relate. I would assume if you know about the subject matter, you could knock out a quality blog post in 4 to 6 hours. If not, I would think that there something that can be streamlined? i could be way off since I don't blog.

I think these are the best days of your life. I am in the same position but I write 2 posts weekly. One big analysis post and one a normal one but both with quality content.

I work on twitter, pinterest, facebook networking from mobile during office hours. How cool is that?

I think blogging is fun because I know I will always have something to do when I get up next morning unlike before when I used to play games wake up late and then get bored and sleep again:)

    Have fun blogging buddy.

i have suggestion for you. you should create schedule for your blog and keep eyes weekly update. it is good for your blog if you publish good unique content with in 1000+ word. you don't have to need to update your blog daily. but guest posting and social sharing is important for you blog. you should do. :)

I don't have a full time job offline, so I blog as much as I want! I'm really thankful and I feel really lucky.

I work full time and manage to blogs. My suggestions to you would be as follows.

Manage your time wisely - Set a certain day where you will sit down and write down all of your posts for the week and then schedule them to post. This eliminates the time of writing posts everyday.

Use time management tools - Use schedulers and other time management tools to cut back on the things that are distracting you.

Use social media managing tools - Schedule out your posts for the week on Twitter and Facebook. Then, all you have to do is spend 30 minutes max replying to inquires and things of that nature.

I am not a full time blogger, but I'm considering to spend more hours/day blogging. More posts mean more money. For more posts, you need more time. It is very simple... Just make it fun.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

Cutting down my sleep is not an option. I already sleep only 5-6h every day.
I tried to write as many blog posts as possible and then schedule them, but I always run out of posts I've written in advance too fast. This method doesn't work out for me.

I follow a schedule so that I can publish new posts timely. When you've been blogging for a time and have a following, you tend to feel you owe your readers something. So I set a day, at least once a week, when I spend time on my blog and publish a new post.

You can set a time table, or organize your day or week so that you have a few hours in each day or may be a day to work on just your blog.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
