Well, does google show sitelinks for your site(s)? 1) If so, what sites do have sitelinks (or how many)? 2) And why do you think they got sitelinks but your other sites did not? I have four sites and four subdomains with sitelinks. I started thinking why they got such links while my other sites did not. And that is why I opened this thread. For brainstorming.
No I do n't have sitelinks But whether you have got sitelinks for four subdomains (like blogger ) or sitelinks for subdomains that are a part of main domain...
No, i don't have but thinking of getting sitelink for one of my blog. Let see how long i need to put efforts.
I have 2 sites with sitelinks.. for one website the sitelinks keep showing for several big keywords, for the other it's only when you search for the domain. When you keep scoring #1 for your domainname as keyword for a long time the sitelinks will show up..
i don't have any site links either, would be nice to have, but i'm not to bothered. Well done on getting some though, it shows google likes your site
Wow - I just checked and found I do have for one of the sites I manage: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1B3GGGL_enBY222BY223&q=park+lane+girls&btnG=Search ))
This is very interesting, You have Results 1 - 10 of about 180 from www. parklanegirls.com and Results 1 - 3 of 3 linking to www. parklanegirls.com and PR2 and not much traffic according to Alexa. The thing in your case to get sitelinks is that you are the first result for keyword park lane girls for long time and the other thing is that you have bunch of links in your website to navigate. According to Google- Sitelinks process is fully automated
I have 8 when searched for one of my domain names. But I was asking this question in another thread... It was reasoned that a (old) site being in number1 for a long time with a lot of links may have site links appear. But I had a competitor site go to number 1 and then shortly after have sitelinks (for a broad keyword). They were never in number 1 position before, yet now they are and have site links for a very broad keyword??
One of the websites I help manage has sitelinks. It took a couple years to get and show up (I infer) due to the massive number of pages that also get great traffic. For instance, the sitelinks are to pages which each receive traffic almost equal to the homepage. I have also noticed a couple websites which have only a few pages (6 to be exact) and each of those pages are linked from the sitelinks. Odd.
I have sitelinks for none of my sites I wish I could get sitelinks for any of my sites. Anyway, if you want to get sitelinks, then you need to have excellent internal linking structure, and your domain have to be 1 year + old. This is what people say about how we get sitelinks.
1 Year? Dang. That rules me out. I probably have too many pages I consider equally relevant besides my main page to get good sitelinks anyway.
Few months back I got for one of my sites http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=webcosmo&btnG=Google+Search Took about an year.
I also have sitelinks for my Dutch site, it's more than 7 years online now. I have 8 sitelinks for this site.
Subdomains that are part of main domains. For 7 of the 8 sites that have sitelinks, I can tell that the main reason could really be, as suggested by friends here, the number of searches by your name. How many times people search for your site using its name is the key player. For the 8th site, visitors do not search using the name of the site all yet it has sitelinks.
our main site has just been appointed sitelinks inside Google webmaster tools but not yet shown up in Google. its very clear to see the sitelinks its been given are due to the internal linking structure. once the algo does decide you qualify, (the conditions for which we dont know obviously) the actual links seem to be related to the first decent quality text links the bots come across on the page. this has also just happened to a client site we made some adjustments on about 2 months back, the site is quite old, and is an "association of" org type site that hasn't been touched for several years apart from updating members pages etc, but the addition of 6 keyworded footer links resulted in 6 sitelinks with the same titles. prior to that the navigation was all image based. it has them for both its name, and two keywords from the page titles, that are also part of it's name.
