Do you have marketing routine for every new site?

I've read one of the older shoemoney's posts where he mentions that he has "marketing routine" or something like that, for every new site he makes.
    I guess it's something like
    - Write blog post about new site
    - Link new site on my other sites
    - Add to directory (a.com, b.com, c.com)
    ...etc

Do you have routine like that?
    What is it?

I'm not experienced enough, so with every new site I try some other thing, but maybe other members with more experience have some routine

that actually depends on the person on whatever routines or methods he'll apply on his new sites. there are tons of optimization ideas out there, you just have to explore them all.

almost all of the marketing methods are effective but that's only if a person is so devoted and has passion on what he's doing.

you can refer on almost all of the same marketing techniques available, but you'll be the one who can make it happen.

you set your goals & your objectives...

Yes, I have a basic marketing routine to get every new website in several key places. But after I do all of the basics, the process becomes very non-routine. Some of that is because every website has a different focus, so beyond the basics, things simply should be different. A large part, however, is because I do subsequent marketing on a hit-or-miss basis.

It depends on the site I'm promoting. For web proxies, I have some custom software I wrote which helps me submit quickly to a large number of proxy list sites. I also submit to my proxy group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/proxywebsitelist , my proxy list at http://proxyfreelist.com/ , and a large list of public Yahoo and Google proxy groups.

For my Ebay auction sites, I generally submit to a number of search engines using a modified version of the proxy submitter, and that's about it.

Overall, my promotion strategies could do with a vast amount of improvement.

I have a tiny (very tiny) routine. Nothing much - and sometimes I do it for individual pages too. Just sign up at genre-related forums and do a little signature linking. For example my joining here was because of the "linkbait generator" in my sig, which had around 2,000 visitors from digital point so far :)

For full sites I also give it a post and sidebar links on some of my blogs usually.

yes I know there are probably different approaches depending on the site, but I was interested in those things you do the same for all sites at the very beginning.
few interesting ones you posted, keep them coming. I'm sure many could learn from others experience and develop new ideas, whether are some general routines or niche specific

I think it greatly depends on what kind of site you're making.

If you want an adsense site, you're going to make it with as many clickbank adsense ads as possible and just drive as much traffic as possible....

But if you want to make an actual presence in the market - where you have people knowing your name and stuff, you might want to just focus on providing content and working with others in your marketplace.

It's all about what you want at the end of hte day.
