Ya I have programmed extensively at university. C/C++/VB/VC++/JAVA/PHP/MYSQL/ACTIONSCRIPT in serveral classes. regards
It seems interesting to know that there are more self-learners than formal education... now I know it's possible..
Well I had GWBasic, Pascal, Cobol, Fortran and C language and that's about all during my undergrad days. I can't stand those lessons.
I taught myself how to program before enrolling in university. I learned Visual Basic, PHP, MySQL, AJAX by myself, and Java at university, enhancing my programming capabilities a lot.
I've mainly had a class about HTML/JavaScript and Flash. The program here is pretty bad and I have to learn most of the things myself.
Combination of school and self-study. For example, I learned .NET, Java, and PHP on the job and home. School taught me Pascal, Fortran, Visual Basic, and Assembler. Once you understand the basic programming principles, learning a new language is easier.
Pascal especially teaches the basic programming principles and structures, so it was a must for us (at least according to our lecturer). Not sure of the syllabus nowadays though.
by myself I studied C/C++ a lil first then HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT/PHP/MYSQL But still planning to go to school for certifications.
