I've been in sales off line a long time and online about 10 years. Just wanted to remind new folks the internet is a media for advertising not an end in itself. So make yourself or order some business cards and hand them out! There are other forms of contact other than email so by all means place your cell phone number on your cards Don't make the mistake of just providing information on your business cards. Show a problem Show a solution Show why they should come to you Place call on your card not just your phone number. Doing so gives instructions not just information and increases your call rate. I'd better do an article on this sometime
I have way too many business cards.. for my non profit and for my two llc's and other stuff.. way too many to fit in my wallet many times! lol
I have both offline and online biz card for my business to cater to both category of client. And i find out that the more simpler the better
Don’t you guys find that sometimes all your business cards do not fit into your wallet any more! What to do than?
I have some business cards, but need some more. While going around town, I found some of the best places to hand them out are at book stores. Go to a book store, go to the section that is related to your site, if you see someone in that same section, give them a card. The quality of the cards is also very important. do not try to get off cheap, go ahead and spend the money to make a good first impression.
I think your business card has to show your benefits. So people can understand why they should contact you or check your website.
Business cards are very important and you should carry them with you to every place you go. You never know who you will bump into.
Probably depends on the business but anymore there's just no good reason to NOT have them. They're unbelievably inexpensive to have made (i.e. Vista prints) and if you're they type that just have all creative control you can make & print them yourself. Low cost doesn't have to mean poor quality anymore. For what I do and have done the last 10-13 years they've paid for themselves time and again. - my first music group (classical guitar duo) -my first offline business, music instruction studio (still going strong ) -my current band (used alone and with our press kit... NOTE To all aspiring musicians that want to get hired, this is a MUST HAVE, not optional... ) Now for many MLM adn Home Bizers (of which I am one) cards might not be as critical (unless you're working a swanky party, making friends and hooking up with influential big wigs ;-).
