I wonder what would happen to an adsense account in the event of the death of someone. Can the account be transferred to the next of kin?

I think so, why wouldn't it? The next of kin would have to mail google to be sure though.

I thought that might be the case. After all, a business doesn't just vanish when an owner dies.

No t exactly, A limited company continues as the business is considered a seperate entity from it's owner.

However a sole trader or partnership company "dies" as soon as the owner or in case of partnership a partner dies/leaves or a new one enters.

As I see it the only way is to list your Adsense as a company (Ltd). Anyway, Is there any lawyer on DP?

He/she will give us a better answer.

I'm too young to go (things happen will say someone)
but I would just give some information and instructions while I'm still able to
this way you can even get a helping hand and develop your business

I post a lot of material to my AdSense blog, and I doubt members of this forum would want me to re-post the material here! I'm glad you credited my blog as the source, yes, but it's always polite to ask before reposting material in its entirety. I usually don't object to repostings as long as I'm asked....

MEMWG is an acronym for "Make Easy Money with Google", the introductory AdSense book I published in June of 2005. Yes, the site is mine. Take a look at the blog, you'll probably enjoy reading it.
