Do you have a parked domain?

Who in here has a parked domain? Just post the quantity you have. No need to post the links to them as they will be removed most likely.

I am new to this business of domaining and I find it totally addicting.

Can I ask, how did you guys acquire these domains, and if you regged them, when did you do it and is it still possible to reg new domains that get type in traffic.

Would any of you be willing to sell any of your domains that get type in traffic?

Or, where can i buy some?

    Thanks

is a parked domain, one that I have with no site that is not being used yet, or one of those anoying sites that come up in a search result but have no information on them except links that make you waste your time on more link sites?

I have plenty of domains that are not yet used but have none of those anoying sites.

Well I guess that parking can also be translated as having an inactive domain name hosted elsewhere, such as those websites showing the root directory listing or jsut a blank page

He said he's just curious. I've got less parked domain names every day. Plalling on moving them all to live by cuilding content for each. Parked domains are earning money but not for you, you only get cents from that :) Besides, my parked domains never got indexed by search engines properly, it's like a waste... Hence my idea to move away from parking services.

Have a few that I'm going to try and develop... but, in the meantime, just have them sitting.

Incidentally, how much do you guys make with 'Parked' pages. What do parked pages really earn? Really, I haven't tried any of the services...

Also, do you think that it is better to park a page or put up a 1 page site to "age" the domain before developing.

I have about 100 parked at Sedo and above 20 parked at NameDrive. No big money earners but pays for more than a few renewals. I make more off reselling than I do from parking but its not a lot of work and brings in some incremental income. Also gives me statistics on traffic so if I do pick up a high traffic domain I'll know about it and be able to price the domain accordingly.
