When I have used facebook to drive business traffic it was cumbersome. I am sure there is a way to do it but there are better ways to advertise. Its free so really cant beat that and If you a business you should probably have a facebook page for it regardless of its success.

I would have to agree with the majority of you. I recently set up a Facebook Business Page but it is hard to get "fans" when you cannot add people etc. The only way to get more traffic it seems would be to apply the Facebook Widget/fanbox to your site so people can add you from there.

Facebook fan pages do result in a positive ROI. Think of the millions of people on Facebook who only go to Facebook each time they are on the internet. About half of Facebook users log in each and every day! I have many business associates who have put up fan pages and achieved great results.

    1. Yes I have a business page.
    2. I've developed it on my own.
    3. I've made more sales with facebook business page then my person profile.
    4. It worth putting it since you can install your online shop there. You can create a good looking landing page like most brands are doing(check this post). You can generate new visitors\clients from each "Like" on your page. If someone Likes your page it showing to their friends as well.

remember to create several custom fbml pages. Welcome page, online shop, promo page and so on ...

I have been using a separate page for all of my websites. Most of my visitors are coming from FB as I am updating it daily ..!!
