Lately, I have been playing around with Facebook trying to determine if I want to offer more software development services [I am a software consultant] to users of this popular social media site. As I have played around-- I have discovered it is not that easy to add pre-existing widgets to Facebook pages. So my questions to other business owners: [1] Do you have a business page on Facebook? [2] Did you have a web development firm design your page? Do it yourself? [3] Have you found more clients because of your business page versus your personal profile page? [4] Was it worth putting it up [ROI]? Here is a business page that I feel is well done: http://www.facebook.com/OceanCityMdRealEstate?v=app_4949752878 would you want something similar for your business? BTW-- I am not ready to offer my services so this is not a promotion for my company. Q...
Yes. I do have my business and it is advertise on facebook. Please check it out on facebook under Plecco Technologies and become a fan.
I've been using facebook more than 2 years and never get any projects from fan site, open groups or personal profile page, but I got lot of projects from the companies and FB friends in private groups. It's not easy and it can take months to get invitation and approval from the creator/admin, most big companies always asked you made offline presentation in their office/rep office before send the group invitation.

None at the moment. I don't have any FB business page. But I often advertise my sites in Facebook by participating in relevant FB groups. It's such a good way to generate site traffic.

I agree with those that say that FB page doesn't drive too much traffic; it is more of a hedge against negative brand reputation.
