It would be really interesting to know how much time you guys use daily on marketing?

For me, it varies a lot, but I probably spend apx. 1-2 hours a day.

I spend about 2-4 hours, creating new ads, writing in forums, blog... etc.

I don't have a schedule (though I think it's a great idea). I do have a task list of things to accomplish for the day, but I just set aside blocks of time to do them, not at specific times.

Great topic. I think a schedule is important in helping one keep FOCUS. Sometimes I get sidetracked checking e-mails, offers, etc. Instead I keep looking at my -to-do-list and get back to 'work'.

I have just finished creating my site and am now in the procedure of forming a schedule. Very important!

Now I feel like having a schedule for myself. As of now i just do anything what comes in my mind at a time, any new idea or anything that i feel like doing. But now i think i should go by a plan.

I subscribe to the Timothy Ferriss way of getting things done. I go into Microsoft OneNote and give myself 2 high-priority tasks to do during the day. Anymore than that and things can seem too daunting to complete. The other important thing is that I write these tasks out the night before. That way, I get up and sit down at the computer, fire up OneNote and see what I need to accomplish for the day.

If I have free time after I do these I will usually spend time reading articles or posts, but only if they can benefit me immediately and not some time down the road.

Honestly, if I didn't make a list every day, I could easily kill 8 hours surfing the Net, tiding up OneNote, making posts to my favorite forums, and anything else that seems like fun but is totally unproductive.

I can't have a schedule. I tried but just can't. Sometimes I write articles, sometimes just browsing, reading and posting in forums. I have many interests except marketing so sometimes I spent a day or even a week doing something else.

I'm a newbie, am still in my tenth posting, but right now I am beginning to enjoy the challenge and I foresee a lot of things more interesting , and hopefully, profitable, in the near future. You're all correct, at anything we indulge, schedule is a must. It is foremost in planning. I do it in my profession as marketing and general manager of a wholesale and retail general merchandise trading firm, and I am what I am now because I always do things on schedule basis.
