I'm surprised at the number of people in business that just seem to be "winging it". Is this you are are you working from a specific game plan or business plan?
I would consider that more of a "wish" than a plan. Do you have a strategy in place? A guide to help get you there in a measurable period of time?
I do mind maps in my computer for each project where I keep track of everything that needs to get done. And I make some action plans out of that. But I don't have any major time-specific goals.
I have one main online business that I'm trying to promote, but, in order to compliment my main business efforts, I try to involve myself with promoting smaller ticket items so that I can generate some moderate sales, and from there, use some of the proceeds to reinvest into my primary business in terms of attracting attention to it via advertising and or marketing. In terms of a specific gameplan, I do not have any, but have outlined some general objectives that I would like to meet, at some point, in terms of my primary business, but am unable to specify a timeframe due to the uncertainty of knowing when I will accumulate enough funding to accomplish certain facets.
NYC, it sounds like a plan! (no pun intended). I think as long as you have a relative sense of direction with objectives, it's less likely you'll get off course or become stagnate.
