The poll evened out alot while I was asleep, seems pretty split at this point. Alot of people have had bad experiences while others have never had a problem so far.
You are either located in a country not supported by Paypal or your business is not earning you any noticeable online revenue yet.
There customer service does need work... it does take them awhile to answer sometimes.. but for the most part they are ok.. Fees are high they should lower them a little.. most of what they charge is pre profit in there pocket and when you think how many people use them.... that is a TON of money.
Yup, Paypal is amongsts the cheapest payment processor out there. Can't really find a better deal at that price package for a For-Profit Company. I supposed if the credit card companies can lower the fees then Paypal may priced their service at the lower prices. If you think they charge too much then blame the credit card companies and blame the high cost of doing business because even paypal to paypal transfer is free, there are a lot of hidden cost in maintaining their system to what it is today. Welcome to the real world.
yes , i hate paypal because they accept my country but i can not use a bank account . i have 1k$ in my paypal account but i hate paypal . i can not use a back account in my country
Recently I've got Verified Primier acc ( was not able to do it for about 3 years )but I still hate that stupid merchant , Moneybookers.com is the best
A dozen of bad thing listen from others! That make me suck! haha! but anyway, paypal not yet do any bad thing to me.So still love and hate paypal!
I haven't had issues with Paypal, so I can't really say that I dislike it. I've heard some horror stories, though.
Well, I would not fully say that. The trouble I see is that Paypal is not strict enough at verifying customers. If I ran it, I would have all unverified account not have the ability to receive funds and would be closed if they are not verified within 60 days. For verification, they would need to fax a copy of their credit card statement, go through the Expander Use Program and Confirm their mailing address. The trouble is really the people who signed up with Paypal. Paypal just helps you exchange funds between two parties. What makes it suck or not depends heavily on the people who uses them. The trouble is that with the relaxed verification procedure, people are abusing them using Virtual Credit Card, signing up without reading the Terms of Service and Accepted Usage Policy and so on. As scary as it may seems, some people are underage and they signed up with them and some pretending to be from Paypal Approved countries. This people should know they are doing something wrong but if they are out to fraud, they will not care. The trouble is that when the money is out of Paypal's hands, ie the money have been withdrawn, it cannot be reversed. Paypal do not earn 100% of what goes through their hands, they just earn the few percentage from the sale and cannot be responsible for the whole amount. The due diligence in is the hands of the buyer and seller. That's why when dealing with anyone through Paypal, you have to follow Paypal's advise and deal with only verified account holder and make sure you verify that it is them that you are dealing with and not some identity thieves. Also make sure you do not fall into the phishing sites. There is a lot you can do to protect yourself and this does not just apply to using Paypal. Use it wisely, fully the rules with a fine tooth comb and understand what each parties liability is and you do fine. Bad things do happen to good people too and that is just the real world. Crimes are committed every day. Fraud does not just dwell in the Paypal's world but it is everywhere and I suffer from fraud through the other payment processors. In the end, it is just a business expense no matter how painful it is. What can I say, we do not live in utopia as not everyone is good and not everyone is honest.
Many of us depend on Paypal and our businesses are possible thanks to Paypal. Having a bad experience with them at some point may determine you to "hate it" but at the end of the day, you're still using their services.
