I was wondering, do you guys use this? I don't use this. Is it too dangerous?

Just wondering! Thanks for your answers!

Absolutely. Prevents your publisher id from being misused on sites that are not your own.

i had used it for several months before, now i haven't used it more than one year, seems no difference to me by using it or not.
of course, use the "Allowed Websites" can protect your adsense account.so use it can be more safe, while don't use it maybe dangerous, just maybe, not a certainty.

People who click your ads when coming from images.google.co.uk for example, click on ads and you don't get paid for this. If you're getting traffic from these sources which show your website in a frame, you'll find many "unauthorised" websites showing your ads - all these websites are legitimate and they're not trying to misuse your adsense code.

So... if you're really getting good amounts of traffic from various images searches, translating services (including google translator) and so on (you'll find all these websites in your adsense account within list of sites that weren't authorised to display your ads), then it's worth allowing not only your domains, but also these ones.

Even though Google may be paying you for clicks from images.google.com (which I believe they do), there are still many other sources that require consideration.

I noticed that if I turn it off, my earnings increased a little bit. But would it be better to be on the safe side? I'm not sure what to do.

If you could see normal websites in your "unauthorised" list before, then you're safe. For example, if you saw images.google.something there, search.yahoo.com and other legitimate domains, then it is OK. I would recommend you allowing these domains and later just keep watching new unauthorised domains that show your ads. If they're normal, then add them and earn.
