but I found google webmaster tool can help to query external links fully .and read the link you can took more info .

Anyways, use Yahoo for a better idea of your BL. Better yet all 3 engines, as most of us do.

 

Best to use the 3 major search engines to find backlinks of your competitors. for your own site use the google webmaster tools, it shows alot of information about your links in google and doesn't take long to setup.

 

Yea google webmaster tool is now very useful to check ur external as well as internal back links but still it is a beta version . some site have problems for using it. Hope google will solve this.

 

Add your site on https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ go to links tab then click verify choose verification method then copy the code on your site or blog.
