I've ran across alot of blogs and I noticed that they don't use the dofollow tags. I'm just curious how many the members of DP use the "DoFollow" tag on their blogs? And if you don't why not? Does it take away from your PR or something?
Because of this: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2005/01/preventing-comment-spam.html And it takes from your PR too.
Most of my blogs are "Do Follow". People looking for PR juice are obvious and get their comments deleted anyway.
I haven't put any dofollow plugins. But now i am thinking of installing one and allow dofollow comments on my blog.
From my experience, i think it doesn't. Only you'll have to prepare yourself to get a lot of spam comment
i just installed a dofollow plugin in my blog. Now my blog's comments are dofollow. check it GetAdviced.com
Due to the amount of spam one of my blogs gets, I no longer use a do-follow plugin and have begin blocking the IPs of offending users. The IPs also come off free hosts so I have begin reporting back to these free hosts.
It is supposed to leak your Page Rank but I am not too sure whether Googlebot is getting more sensitive to that issue now.
Here - NoFollow Free It has a bunch of useful options, like putting no-follow tags if words in the comment match a blacklist.
