Renie u follow your religion yet you dont even understand what jesus said in the bible. He spoke to the people in a way that they would understand him as it pertained to their culture.
Jesus did say many times that he was god and the hebrews wanted to stone him for it. Are you comparing jesus and his father to us and our fathers? Renie if u say that it is impossible for jesus and god to be one than you dont believe yourself that with god anything is possible. Im so excited to welcome you back as a fellow christian Renie( big group:::::::::::::::::::HUGGGG::::::::::::::::::)

Renie go back to your bible and study the words" I AM" Its incredible that you can miss these basic 2 words. But its ok we are here to make sure that u dont have ignorance of the bible for long.

    I AM
    I AM
    I AM

You are here: Jesus Christ >> Learn More about Jesus! >> Did Jesus Say He Was God
Did Jesus Say He Was God?

The gospel of John, which presents Jesus Christ in His deity, is sometimes called the "I AM" book. Over and over again in the book of John, Jesus said, "I AM." To the learned Jew this phrase "I AM" was very significant. It was a claim by Jesus that He is God. Why? In the Old Testament when God called Moses to lead the nation of Israel out of Egypt, He told Moses to tell the nation that "I AM" has sent you (Exodus 3:13-15). "I AM" is the covenant God of Israel, Jehovah! Therefore, the great "I AM" is the designation for God to the nation of Israel and Jesus' statement "I AM" is a clear indication that He was saying, "I AM God."

Maybe if u say it enough times you will remember it better, so look before to start your way back to christianity:), welcome back Renie and may jesus the true god bless you:)

Dear Ping pong, isn't this a form of duplicate content!:)
I appreciate your concern for my spiritual wellbeing, but having heard exactly what you have said to me many times before, (maybe with not QUITE so many 'I AM's") I am content to agree to disagree and we'll see sometime in the not too distant future, whether I am a Christian or not.

You almost manage to sound pleasant until you throw in the "we'll see" argument. How typically Christian to wave the remote thought of eternal damnation in the face of an unbeliever when they are no longer able to argue intelligent points.

We will see. I don't claim to know what, if anything, comes after this life, but my humility in that admission means that I'm ready for anything at all. Your narrow-minded views are the as the zealots of every other religion - they all believe that they are 100% right, that everyone else "will see". Save your typical religious foolishness for your fellow Witnesses - no one else is going to buy it.

As far as your "we'll see" threat: I've never met a non-believer yet who thought that was anything but funny. If we were cowed by the threats of your "god" and the bible we'd be believers already.

as muslim, they must go to mosque at least once a week to conduct friday pray at the mosque.
it a must, so if you a real muslim than you must go to mosque at least every friday.
being muslim, we do not only believing, but we also must practice it.
And I sure that even jews and christian must go to their holly place at least once a week, the same way as muslim.

dear oh dear Palsys, must you be so antagonistic, every time? I was really just trying to end something in a reasonable manner. There was no threat, implied or otherwise in my 'we'll see sometime' comment. It is simply true. either I am wrong or I'm not. At some point we will all find out. Why is that a threat? It is just a fact. Either something is true or its not. If what I believe is not true, so be it, I have no regrets. If it is true then it is important to let people know, but if its not, has any harm been done?
PS I am not narrow minded. You make statements and accusations with such gay abandon. I don't think anyone that knows me, and I am not talking about my fellow witnesses, would ever accuse me of being narrow minded.
Tonight on our Australian ABC was broadcast a very interesting show on 4 Corners about the new Evangelical churches of America. It horrified me, but also helped me to see the reason for some people's terribly scornful opinions of Christianity. Not even the most extreme fundamentalist evangelical pentecostals in Australia behave like that, no-one carries on with that kind of patriotic fervour or political agenda. And I truly had NO idea that there really are people that genuinely believe that dinosaurs existed at the same time as humans. I'm still a bit shell shocked by the whole experience. Here in Australia people are pretty laid back and largely indifferent to religion, most are friendly and we rarely get anyone antagonistic, so I am finding this whole forum experience quite exhausting.( could be the flu!) So farewell for now, enjoy your arguments! :)

Well, I apologize for coming off as antagonistic - I have a tendency to do that sometimes :) Christianity seems to be a different beast here in North America (the United States in particular). Truth be told, most people in Canada are quite laid back about the issue as well, but only because they don't take their spirituality in mind at all.

Regardless, my apologies for antagonizing; I'd prefer a more civil debate as well. I'll keep this points in mind next time we bump heads :D

I'm Christian, but not Catholic. Yes, they both believe in Jesus, and go to church, and celebrate Christmas, but Catholics are Christians - and I do not believe in the 'trinity'.

It is sad when people say all Christian churches are like those large TV churches, in fact, you will find most Christians are frustrated with TV evangelists, you know the ones with all the Gold in their shows, jewelry, nice cars and mansions.... These are guys who are using "religion" for personal gain, yet they really don't know the Bible hardly at all. I find the TV preachers who run around on stage and pound on a Bible, yet never really read more than a sentence from it for their "preaching" doesn't make you wonder if they are actually saying anything "biblical"

The crooks that use religion for personal gain like this are not Christian, they are actually anti-christian. They do more harm then good to Christianity and towards Jesus. I know from the Bible that God does not take lightly those who twist His words.
