that's not the 1/2 of it, originally I thought he (OP) meant some form of exposure in disdain to the other drivers in general

but then I guess that would be more of a "lunar" thing ;)

Remind me not to drive around in your neighborhood!! :p

Just last week I saw a trucker with an interesting message painted on his mudflaps. It said something like "When you go past, be a flirt and lift your shirt!"

I prefer the boobies kind of flashing myself from the young, cute girls gone wild. Sitting up high in a big truck, it's kind of fun to look down into other's cars and see what's going on ;)

I flash people occassionally but normally if there is no one in front of me. I don't want the people in front of me thinking that I'm flashing them. I'll do it if there is a danger ahead of them, if there is a cop sitting by, or if they have their lights turned on bright... but normally I don't flash... I just turn my brights on until they dim theirs. :D

    can't stand the SAD's

see that would be optimal if people moved over after you did so but I'm stuck in a city where no less than 1/2 of the drivers are unaware that they even have a rear view mirror. Most drivers here, need no less than a tap on the bumper before they realized that they are not in fact the only car on the road

    but I digress...time for my meds! :)

Yes, I just moved back to Missour from Boston and let me tell you.. Whew.. I felt like I was in heaven when I got back (as far as driving goes). Open winding roads, High speed limits, and the ability to flash w/o being yelled at.. LOL ahhh the fresh air.. ;) (Until you drive past the hog farm....eww)

Flashing? I thought we saved that for Fat Tuesday! LOL

But really though, I never knew people flashed their lights for all those reasons. I always try to flash other drivers who do not have their lights on after dark, but with all those different reasons for flashing...how are you supposed to know what it means?

First off...that was really rude...so you are saying that when someone flashes their lights at you, you automatically know why they are flashing them? Whether you have a headlight out or forgot to turn your headlights on or perhaps your tire is low or maybe they thought they knew you. You would know the exact reason just by them flashing their lights?

By golly we have a psychic here with us!

RUDE is my middle name

    How is it rude?

don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm just saying most of the time it's pretty obvious, lights not on or cop ahead. Could there be 17,313 other reasons? Sure. Are these hard and fast rules? No.

Well I guess we are just weird here in Portland then because I have never heard of anyone flashing their lights at anyone for any reason other than to let them know their lights weren't on...guess thats the reason for a forum...so people can ask questions and get a variety of answers from their peers.
