Do you find public affection embarrasing?

A friend of mine from South Africa spend 2 days in jail after kissing his gf he was engaged to and had to pay a huge amount in fines because he was accused of public prostitution. The cops basically just wanted money...

 

Depending on where you live, public displays of lust and abandonment may be illegal.

 

I don't totally agree.. I think if it makes the society around you feel uncomfortable, which is certainly does make people a little uneasy, it could an acceptable rule not to allow it.. even though people want to do it.. or think they want to do it.. it may not be good for society if they did it.

What about the young people like the child? If ever you have a child, and he/she see that PDA what are you going to tell them? "They were just playing?"

 

No, you'll tell them that they love each other. It's not some sort of disease or something.

 

good point, you need to be sensitive to who might be watching but then again most people don't give a flying you know what about what others think

I respect your opinion on affection. I feel if done appropriately seeing affection in public gives me a warm feeling of joy. I believe the song "All we need is love" to be true in these trials and tribulations of war that we see on the news. (I recommend fasting from some of the negative to allow the positive to take root in our hearts.)

Try asking one. Kids are honest they will ask and ask not until they are satisfied.

And you are going to tell them that it's love? They did not yet know the difference between love of parents, siblings, and lover.

 

Depends on the circumstances and the culture.
Sitting cosy may be accepted where as getting overtly expressive may be frowned upon.

Finally its upto the couple to decide whether the society and the people in the vicinity will permit it.

Not infront of others. This is exactly why there abscenity laws and such.

 

I was talking about very strict countries, where the law is taking over the human's rights, where women are killed with stones if they make sex before marriage, where the death penalty is something usual, where religion has way to many power, and examples could go on and on.
It's about free will ... the power of everyone's choice. That should not be taken away because we will be more and more like machines.

I think there should be a limit to what one should be able to do infron of others. You have to consider other peoples privacy. By doing such acts you put other people ina compromisisng situation.
