Bill Gates is not inspiring for me... I can understand his way of doing business, but anyway he is not the kind of guy I can respect. Still, I think Windows XP is good.. and he is handsome...
Yeah, and drug lords in Colombia have made more money in their lives than he has. Do you find THEM inspiring? Bush is the President of the U.S. Do you find HIM inspiring? I rest my case. Money and power isn't everything. BTW, I don't find the mob particularly inspiring either.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who made a lot of money NOT trying to destroy everyone else's businesses. How many people do you know who have had anti-trust lawsuits filed against them by the United States Government? AT&T, maybe, but that was how long ago? Anti-trust is a very hard thing to prove, and they don't file an anti-trust suit unless it's a flagrant violation of law. And didn't he lose that case? Think so. And how much did he have to pay in fines and penalties? Did you read this? http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2008/06/27/tech-billgates.html Nothing you can say is going to make me admire that man. He could have used his intelligence and business smarts for good, instead, he used them as a destructive force. Is he smart? Yes. Is he rich? Yes. Does he have any scruples? NO! His wife started that charitable foundation, not him.
I saw him speak at waterloo a couple of months ago. He is a very smart man and a generous one too. you can go to any unknown library and find a computer that was donated by bill gates and his wife melinda. haha, I can't tell who is bill gates in that picture but without him we would not be enjoying these computers today. Now that is arguable but if you really put thought into it, he was the first spark to "windows" a genius idea to think about computers. Before a computer was simple a calculator. anyways that's just my random input on bill gates
