I never did, not once, I don't even remember it when I was a kid in school. I however did start for someone, I sucked at it, but I enjoyed writing them. I still write them til this day for her, many I have deleted as I don't know if she'll ever read them, I however do really enjoy writing them. If people seen me and knew I wrote poems they'd be like WTF you do not look the type!
I wrote once and submitted online to a site :d It was accepted .... deep inside my heart I know it sucked
i used to write a lot of them when i was a kid...(while was just a couple of years ago....) filled up a whole book with them, and while they weren't good enough to get published anywhere (except maybe the school mag!) i used to sped hours re-reading them! they did mean a lot to me...were a way to let my feelings flow, like most poets not sure if i will ever write another one, though
Poetry is gay. But on the other hand... I totally admire people who have the balls to write poetry, and either read it publicly or publish it. There have been a few people that have posted their poetry on DP, and even if it is semi-anonymous, that takes a shit load of guts.
About 10 years back i fell in love with this women and started writing poems......and am still writing for her
yes, during school time but never get good marks for it. not writing now and is hard to think of nice peom. some are gifted but not me
