Do You Ever Recycle Your Blog Posts?

I've got over 10 blogs and sometimes I get into a bind for a variety of reasons and can't find the time to post. I try to do at least 1 post per blog per day..which is quite a bit. So...what I do sometimes is take an old post and edit the timestamp so it shows up as a "new" post in WordPress....thus, buying me some time.

Does anyone else ever do this? I was thinking it would be cool if there was a wordpress plugin out there that could automatically cycle through all of your blog posts so it keeps adding "new" posts daily. This would be useful if you have a blog you feel you have nothing else to add to, perhaps?

Curious what anyone thinks about this...

in my opinion, this defeats two purposes, you have duplivcate content on the site and repeat readers will notice the laziness :p id say write 2 posts per blog per day, but only post one, post the other one the next day. work it batches :

I agree with biziboy, posting duplicate posts is just going to annoy any regular readers you have. You could always do a summary post that just links to your most recent posts, this is quick to do and also helpful to your readers. I'm trialling a semi automated approach to that with my thumbnail summaries.

Yeah that's not the best to do.

Instead post some links from digg or something simillar.

Technically it wouldn't be duplicate content... I change the post date so it shows up on the home page instead of buried in the archives. Oh well though...I did it today to buy some time as I'm travelin' :D

again about the duplicate content, google is actually very smart in detecting similar paragraphs, much more identical text. so the dat change would not make that much opf a differance... if google thinks its the same stuff, G wont index it....

but handleing 10 blogs is a chore... you are probably making good money from them, too. if not i would focus on the ones which do make money and update the others less frequently. or you could hire a writer from DP to help you out.

if you are blogging for non-financial reasons, for example if you have a passion for ur topics, then it doesnt matter as long as you are content :)

    good luck
