Do You Ever Get Tired Of Marketing?

If you get tired of marketing your website what do you do?

I market my websites everyday for about 2 - 5 hours. I do free stuff, buy ads etc. however sometimes I get in a funk where I'm just sick of marketing and don't do much for a week :(

I'm starting to think that I just repeat myself when it comes to marketing and its getting boring to me (doesn't mean what I do doesn't work). It's just hard to do the same thing everyday.

So do you get in a funk where you just stop marketing?

Yeah, it can be boring, but I always find real satisfaction when I see results. Also you can try to get creative about it. Writing blog posts always gets me out of my funk. Having to actually think for a while really helps!

All the sites I run have affiliate programs built in however only my main site has good affiliates the rest have affiliates here and there.

I'd love to hire someone to help me out but I make just enough money to pay myself a ok income. If I hired someone to take care of support for me or some type of marketing I feel I'd cut into my profits to much.

Call me greedy I guess lol.

Well, the only reason one would get tired of marketing is because they are tired of not making any money. Don't you think?

When I first starting marketing, I think I shed out just a little over $500 and only got back $20. Now, that $20 gets me $500...

But, if I ever did get tired of marketing; that would only mean that I hired someone else to do it for me.

I never tire of marketing, because it's different every time. Especially when you're running blogs, you can earn a lot of money with them if you run them properly and market each of your posts differently. Doing this, you can never tire!

I'm working in front of my computer for more than 10 hours per day. Maketing my site via commenting on forums, updating content on my site, submitting articles to social bookmarking and social networking sites, taking freelance work, etc. I've been doing this for almost a year.
Trust me...I'm tired most of the time, especially when I've got to write a lot of posts and I've got no idea what to say, and when I'm checking different forums and found nothing special to leave comments to.
So, I watch movies or talkshows, or listening to music and singing with it when I'm working. At least there are some entertainming things which can release the pressure and the boring feelings. I found it very helpful. However, it doesn't work for anyone. My friends can't focus on working when he tried this method. He said I've got seperated brain which can function at the same time on different things.
Anyway, try it yourself, it may work for you.

Do what everyone else does when they don't want to do the marketing themselves.

Just hire someone or a team of people to handle your marketing tasks for you. Outsourcing has saved a lot of people, and if you're making money anyway, it's the smarter way to get things done. It frees up your time so you can grow your cash flow even larger than it already is.

you need motivation.. for many marketers.. doing the marketing itself is a reward.. money is just something that comes along.. icing on the cake.. if you have that kind of mentality you won't get bored so easily... see the progress.. however small .. it will keep you motivated... personally I will never get bored..

Personally, I'm never tired. The more you try to diversify without being successful at one thing first, the greater the chances of failure at multiple things. Become good at one thing…and then move on.

I find it hard since I am just starting out. The results have been slow which makes it difficult to say motivated. Just remember everything you do pays off and it just takes times to see the payoff.

I agree it can be boring at times. Thats why you can outsource the drudge work for cheap using freelancer websites or using the Buy/Sell/Trade section on this forum.

I get bored with internet marketing AND article writing. However, I can't really see myself doing anything else for a living, so I have to motivate myself to continue. We just have to be thankful for the fact that we make money by working from home; as boring as it can get sometimes, it's still better than a lot of other jobs.

Marketing is the overall campaign for an item/location etc... From tv to banners and getting radio commercials and creating a feel by donating money to the local baseball team, Marketing does it all, and advertising is a small part of that.

From tv to banners and getting radio commercials and creating a feel by donating money to the local baseball team <- these are all advertising implementations.

Marketing is more about finding a demand, and then supplying it.

    Thanks.

I thought about paying someone and did look in the buy/sell/trade to maybe hire someone to advertise for me but then it cuts into profits. I guess I'm just afraid that asking someone to help will not increase my profits I guess this is something I just have to get over and test out and fine the right person or thing to help.

    Chris.
