Do you ever get threatened?

I run a kind of "edgy" forum and am always getting threatened with lawsuits and vicious beatings.
Like today I got this guy calling my sites voice mail line and leaving this message: http://www.photochopz.com/voicemail/gaypron.mp3 (some swearing so might be NSFW)

A. they are his members if they are posting on his site.

B. I dont control the internet.

C. File a complaint with the courdalaine ID. police dept. WTF? What is gomer pyle gonna do about someone making a post on this guys site? lol, its the internet.

Then he calls back like 3 more times and is threatening to beat me up and stuff:

Anyway,
Usually when this stuff happens I just play it up for its entertainment value because its funny as hell and the members on my site like to then make fun of the person. Then we just move on to the next funny thing and forget about it.

I was wondering, what other website owners do when they get threatened or harrassed?

 

That's unfortunate.. but again, it's due to the nature of the site right?

For me.. never.. because of the niches of course.

Ya, thats kinda what I figured. Theres really not much you can do most of the time and getting all worried about it is a waste.
Much better to just have fun with it.

 

We all have a house in town where the resident is short of a serial killer.

Tell the guy the address of that resident, and tell him to "Come get you." =)

Just yesterday I had a guy threatening to sue me and today I've got another wanting to kill me.
I can't wait for tomorrow.

Just listen to the second one.. you might want to keep it, IF something ever happens... on your voicemail, did you get his phone number, or did he block his number?

 

Ya, I've got his phone number. He only started using *67 or whatever it is that blocks caller id on his second phone call. LOL
So his number came up on the first call. He's not all that bright.

 

is it a landline voicemail, or VoIP? if it's VoIP, they can pull a SIP log even if he blocks his number

 

Here is yesterdays threats from a different person. LOL

I'm only posting the things he wrote to me, we PM'd back and forth for about an hour and by the time we were done he was appologizing to me but this is what he started off with.


Needless to say but I'll say it anyway: Internet = Serious Business

We have a picture of this guy, so I decided that I would get his picture with the "internet serious business" caption to be the very first image that comes up when you do a google image search for "internet serious business". Thats why I have a link to it in my sig.
He's gonna crap his pants when someone shows him that when you do a search for "internet serious business" his picture comes up first. LOLOLOLO
