Have you ever been to websites that you enjoy, where you click an advertisement to support them? I have .
Yes, I do all the time. Sometimes I find sites that I really, really like, and there are no adverts or paypal donate buttons and I feel sort of frustrated.
This is actually more destructive, rather than helpful...for the website owner/publisher. Advertisers pay for those ads. False clicks generate advertiser inflation and result in less advertising and/or revenue in the long run for publishers and website owners. In Adsense, Google handles this by use of "smart pricing". So if enough people click the ads and don't buy anything, the amount of money the website owner will get per click will drop to almost zero.
Perhaps this thread is a Google tactic to track down people involved in click fraud? But on a serious note, while what the topic is about may be well-intentioned it's still false clicks, as PCSandwich pointed out.
If I really like the the site I might. Although I prefer to click on the ads at a time that I see one that is vaguely interesting such as gaming or website development. Usually the sites I like that much have ads I am sometimes interested in. I only click them maybe once a week and only if I am in a good mood and the link is to something I want to read. -Ryu
If you're talking about Adsense ads, what you're doing is called click fraud. People have to pay for those clicks. Have some consideration.
I have got adblock plus so even if i wanted to ill have to disable it and personally i cant be bothered lol
i don't do it if their site is the same place with my host, i just worried if they will get fraud clicks, its just waste my time and they will get ban coz me. But if they have affiliate, i will take it as their referral.
i will not even click on a google ad if Im interested in it! Gooooogle got me shook! Im skared to click any google sponsor ad etc on any site from any of my computers or networks! dont want to risk my adsense account I alway just type it in if it shows the url if not i just ignore it!
I should also mention that I only did it if the link was of some interest, and I end up reading whats on the other side. My support for the website was definitely a factor however, because I otherwise avoid clicking ads.
Not to support that site actually but i click ads if i find interesting and useful links there in ads. DON.
