I think this thread subconsciously made me go out and buy some tea today. I've been wanting to stop drinking coffee for a long time, tea has far better health benefits.
There's actually a fairly extensive listing of different sources of Ti Kuan Yin or Tie Guan Yin (also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy) on my website; I've personally reviewed 10 different Tie Guan Yin's. I recommend Life in Teacup and Rishi Tea for the best of these teas that I've tried (Rishi's is from Taiwan, and is a bit atypical of the style), but I've also had good luck with the Ti Guan Yin sold in Wegmans Supermarket if you're lucky enough to live next to one. Wegmans' is also from Taiwan but is more typical of that style of tea.
I haven't heard of this town or tea, but I'd be interested in learning more and trying it if possible...do you have any link to somewhere I can learn more about this?
I drink Lady Grey. Oh & about AriZona Green Tea - I designed that site for the UK Market (google it up) Like 5 years ago. SEO'd it and all. But haven't maintained it since. But yes, back to my fave tea: It's Lady Grey - I love it. It's like Earl Grey but instead of bergamot they use Citrus fruits (possibly mandarin orange)
I like green tea because I think it has teeth cleaning properties. My teeth always feel cleaner after I drink green tea.
Haha...glad I'm having that effect. It's definitely true that it's easier to quit something if you replace it with something else. For me, I've found tea provides a similar lift or boost to concentration as coffee, but without as much of a negative effect if I have more of it. It's easy for me to have too much coffee...even a single cup if it's strong enough can make me a bit jittery or make my stomach feel somewhat raw.
