I'll click if an ad really interests me, but not for any other reason. I'd usually feel guilty about making the advertisers pay if I wasn't genuinely interested in what they're selling!
I do plenty of searches on Google as well as clicking on AdSense on individual webpages. I only do it if a site is of interest to me, but I'm sure between Google search and AdSense I generate well over $500 per month in revenue for Google.
If I am looking for something and I see a relevant adsense ad, I click on it. It does not matter if it is in search or on a normal website. I am looking for my benefit as I am looking for something specific and do not really care if the webmaster makes a buck or if that click costs an advertiser money. Christoph
If I am serching for something and I see that in adsense add I don't see a reason not to click on it.
I only click on AdSense ads -- or any ads -- if I am legitimately interested in the product being advertised. However, I probably click more often on ads generated from the Google search page than AdSense on websites. That is because if I am looking for something I search first.
IMO Its worst case to click on ads for rewarding webmaster because it will hurt the clicked advertiser. And it is really very bad.
Yep... Thats not fair to click to support someone. Just pay your self. I dont think asking about who clicks on Adsense on a web master type forum is the best way to go as "I hope" that all people who visit here know exactly what Adsense is and why and why not to click it. I bet that the highest click throughs come from people like my Mum who have no idea what adsense is and just click it thinking it has the product they are looking for. The real reason Adsense was made!
I rarely click the ads, the only times being is when the ads are very well placed, the ads never really interest me.
I have avoided clicking ads since I learned about adsense. But there are times when the ad is relevant to what I am looking for, I do. And then there are some ads that I am duped into clicking (well placed ads).
I guess putting up adsense ads in my site has made me aware of the ads on others site - and I do not click them unless I am looking to buy something.
I agree, I think thats the whole point of adsense and advertising in general. Click on something if you find you get more valuable information. I am sure a majority of the people who click on adsense only click if they find the ad appropriate. That's one of the reasons why people coming from search engines are much, much more likley to click on adsense then repeat visitors. They are usually searching for something.
I have to say, I definitely click on other people's Adsense more now then before I created my own websites! Before I pretty much ignored them, but now if I see something that is at all interesting, I will click on it, knowing that it helps the other person. Thanks, Jessica
i click em sometimes, but only when they interest me, i always know they're google ads of course........
For some reason I avoid clicking on adsense ads on other websites. However when I am looking for something to buy I search on google and click on the adsense ads... mainly because these guys are the ones who are surely in business and have some deals to offer.
i click sometimes if the page was helpfull to me. normally i pick ads for some "dodgy" business, like "get your free ipod" (by joining a pyramid refering programm), or "make 85.468.464.651$/day with this incredible 59,95$ software!!!", or ads from companies that annoy me again and again with ads in web or tv (ebay, ringtone sites, ...). and sometimes i click if i think this advertiser could do buisiness with one of my sites to get in contact with him. think i click not more than 1 or 2 a day, but never counted.
I would never click to reward the webmaster. But I have occasionally clicked when I saw a very interesting ad.
I dont usually. That's because 90% of websites that advertise on adsense are either dodgy or just lame. I do click the ebay ones though when i'm looking to buy something.
My last click on a google ad was when I was looking for some hosting and I ended up using the host on the ad.
