Well I am a webmaster, and I appreciate the clicks I get on my sites with any PPC ad campaign. Unfortunately, some of them do not allow you to place "CLICK THIS GUY RIGHT HERE SO I CAN MAKE MONEY ---^"-like text on your website near your ads. Some users don't understand the basic concept behind ads, and ignore them while they take the value that they will from the site and move along. As often as I can remember, I take the extra few seconds to click on an ad on every single website I visit, especially Adsense websites, and let the page load, even if its in the background. I do it for the webmaster who can use the few extra cents/dollars, and I do it because in comparing my online activity before and after starting to do this, I actually end up knowing more sites and actually viewing more ads than I did before. Sure, I don't check out every ad, but moreso than before. It's how I justify the cost to the advertisers of the ads that I don't genuinely take a look at. I think overall, everyone wins through this. Sure, takes a little more time - but I think I'm helping out this way. What do you do?
Only if they attract me u should remember 1 thing that when u click an ad a webmaster does earn money but there is also a webmaster who loooses it the advertiser
Your clicking the advt. helps only the publisher and not the advertiser! I make it a point to click only when I notice something that I am in need of.. not otherwise. Regards, RightMan
I would never click on advertisement that I was not interested in. I know how difficult and expensive it is to have PPC campaigns. -- Don't do it if your not interested in the advert.
You all do have good points. although I was aware of the advertiser's side of the equation, I had not fully considered it. I have been on the other end of that spectrum, and as I said, I justified it to myself saying I do the greatest good, because I always at least looked at the landing pages, so I saw more ads. That being said, the ads rarely were of any interest to me anyway. I suppose the small comission going into one webmaster's pocket, is not worth the larger amount being taken out of another's. Thanks for your perspectives, I've changed my ways.
If the content/article is good enough then i will click on the ads, just to promote the webmaster to post more good articles
