Do you choose the niche or the product?

Do you usually look for a good niche and then find a product to suit that niche or when you see a good product do you try to give it a shot and finding good subniches?

niche first, then product, or better yet, make your own product. :D

hire someone on elance.com if you can't be bothered writing. will probably cost you a couple hundred.

or ask tony up there, where he gets/hires people to write his products (assuming he hires ghostwriters)!

he probably won't tell you though ;) so it might be better to just go with elance.com or some other freelance site.

    1) pick a niche
    2) if a niche has at least 2 high gravity clickbank products go with it
    3) start promoting(seo, PPC, lenses, article marketing, etc..)
    4) don't give up if you don't make any sales in the first 2 days

Persistence is More Important than Talent. Here's an Interesting Article

Good facebook post! Very motivating. This is one of the main reasons why people fail. People are not so patient, and would want to see results immediately they start doing something.

I think both of them are equally good, depending on your situation. If you've found 10 products with same niche, i say why not? But most people usually find it more easy to start with find good niche first. Just do your best man.. good luck..

I choose both. Preferably the niche first in order to traffic, then the product!

Figure out what you're good at, and then find a good product. You won't be able to sell health and fitness products convincingly if you're a fat slob at home.

I'd say Niche first. As Gary Halbert always says, you want to find those "starving crowds" and then simply set up shop in front of them and give 'em what they want.

I always pick the niche first. It's always good to research the market to see if it's going to be something you'll be able to expand upon later down the road.

Once you've found a niche that has some potential, build up content, rank for some great keywords, find a nice product to promote....$$$. End of story.

I agree with much of what has been said in this thread, but I just want to add you should do some research to make sure there is a product in the niche you want to get into.

Otherwise, you may be required to create your own product, which depending on your skills, may not be possible, at least not straight away.
