Do you check an affiliate product before you promote it? How? How much time do you invest to check it out? If it is a IM product, have you made any money from it? How do you promote it? Via your website only? Love to hear what you do and so learning from you!
I'm still new at this game, but I believe the most familiar you are with a product, the better your shot at promotion. The better your shot at promotion, the higher chance of sales. Lo, henceforth! Know thy product intimately, and seek to find the angle that will allow you to plant the seeds of desire towards your product in the potential customer's heart: the seed that will blossom into genuine order form submits and consequently, that much wanted ka-ching !!! sound effect that merrily plays on a loop every time you login to your clickback account.
Of course i check out the website, the product itself if i can, i try to find reviews of the product to make sure i am selling a quality product, you dont want to be scamming people out of their money. Usually its better to create a landing page for the product or try and promote it with banners if you have an existing website/blog with a matching audience to the product your trying to sell.
I never even say "maybe" to promoting a product without seeing inside it first. That would be like purchasing food for your family, with the packaging being completely black, and you couldn't see inside.
As affiliate I promote only products that I buy, and the reason is simple: if I bought it somebody else probably will do the same
I think a good seller can sell without having to buy the product simply by turning the bill of sale attaching or creating this page was captured by it. But personally I emphasize that this ebook made me and I can not for sale if a product does not make me.
Thanks guys - what you say makes lots of sense! Had someone even recommend to ask for a free copy before you promotea product. If they are serious, they will give it to you! And check out whether they respond to you as promised in their promotion. Saves heartache later.
