Do you still chase the Google Page rank continually?

or has it's importance seemed to wear off a little lately?

From my point of view keep chasing Google's pagerank is a waste of time as Google tends to exhibit an strange behavior over ranking from time to time.

You may see your PR5 with no rank at all one fine day, work hard to improve and found that it was not necessary, just another Google's dance episode [IMG]

I agree the page rank is no longer so important as it used to be. You can get top rankings with page rank 0.

No, I don't chase pagerank but it is good to have at least some.

Advertisers like page rank and alexa ranking

When ever I hear about a PR update, I do check my sites, to see whether PR is increased or decreased :)

Toolbar PageRank has never really been important. What is important is a good ranking in the search results pages. :)

Exactly thats what I found. It's more to do with the links you get, nothing to do with your page rank. if the key word is in your link, you go up the list for your key word, but your page rank doesn't necessarily go up any

    thanks everyone

Well to be honest I like and chase PageRank
because if you are someone who loves to flip his/her website after
1-2 updates then it can increase the price almost 200-300 USD
which is great considering you did nothing and got that extra cash for just having a PR.
