Just wondering what the main reason is that people buy text links. Which is most important to you, the traffic, or the PR? What is your main agenda if you had to decide between the 2?
I actually don't buy links for any of those reasons. I mainly buy links for improving my pages on the SERP. I see the trafic that I gt as a bonus
Page rank. It all ultimatly leads to the same thing, decent organic placement which leads to traffic and hopefully income.
For Page Rank basically... Traffic comes naturally from SE's once u get nice page rank backlinks and good SERP results
I prefer PR also and it really helps on your SERps Rankings... if you buy a link that related to your site..
As stated in the thread, PR is the main reason for buying links today, and any traffic is beneficial. Although the SE's are getting smarter each day and don't like their rankings being manipulated...they are very aware of the sites that sell links, and will begin to devalue them over time. So in the future PR won't mean much and the traffic will be the only value. But thats just my 2 cents!
PR is a is like cotton candy for SEO'ers. Its fun to eat, but in the end is just junk food. I want the placement for the pages on my sites that are making big $$!
Well it depends. If the site have a decent PR already, then I would probably be buying links for the traffic. For new sites, i'll buy links for the PR.It's a plus if the site can offer both PR and traffic as well.
Everybody here says for PR but when we check the link sales threads like WTB's, they say i need links in huge traffic sites and they mostly dont care about PR.
Which is why link sellers should disguise their links better. I'd pay more if I knew the links were better disguised, but that's just me.
Personally I have paid for links, and I wish this was going to be effective further into the future. But sometimes I have to continue to remind myself that if I can find a program that manipulates the SE's so can Google with their Billions of dollars, and thousands of employees who search the internet for such programs.
