There had been many scripts being sold at DP and it seems some of them actually are very useful. A few of them are rare and unique you couldn't even find one in Google. While there are decent scripts being sold there are also free and open source scripts that are lying around. If you visit hotscripts.com and scripts.com you could actually download a bunch of them. While i have been in the script business my self i haven't made a lot of sales. I wonder if do you actually buy scripts? if you do how was your experience? did you get back your investment?
I have a rule where I do not buy scripts of a site, unless i am in direct conversation with the individual. When you buy scripts of other sites, you just dont know what you are getting. Are they legal or not etc etc. But the one thing that you are normally sure of receiving is NO SUPPORT!! I have had my fingers burnt a couple of times. Now I buy mostly from here, or on recommendation. However that said, I also look for NULLED versions. That allows me to install and test scripts before I commit to purchasing them, as normally demo's suppiled do not always tell the true story and you cant actually see if the code is any good. (NOTE: I do not condone the use of nor do I actually use myself NULLED script (except for testing purposes. DONT DO WAREZ....... DO DRUGS!!))
I'd like to buy PHP scripts . Some of free scripts are really awesome. but it will take me more time to installl or configure.
O yeah! I got my fingers burnt too with Clipshare, for example...I recommended them to a friend and boy, he got the "support"! Never buy from them again...not in the near future.
I purchased on script on this forum. I waited several days to make sure it was on the up and up. After I purchased it, the original owner of the script got on the forum and claimed it. He was promptly banned. I went to another forum where he provided me proof of ownership. When I tried to warn other members of this forum about the problem and relate the proof to the moderators, I received a warning without any explanation. Pretty goofy. In any case, I do lots of due diligence nowadays before purchasing any script. So far, I haven't found a script that was worthwhile or a company that I would do business with. So, for now, I am working with local developers who have references and who I get to know well. The Internet is really the Wild West. Rich
As long as you have the developer as the seller and he gives script updates every month. You're good. If the seller doesn't sound like the developer. he must have purchased the resell rights or he did not. I also have doubts about my buyers if they are honest and don't sell my script. They can sell it without me knowing it.
