Do you blog for fun or money?

I was just interested, do you blog for money or just because? you are allowing the world to read your daily thoughts or is it all about the money for you?

I think most do for money

 

I used to do it for fun, now I don't get time to blog but if I did have the time i'd blog for money.

 

I'm doing it for fun, but sometimes for money selling the blog.

 

I'm doing it to teach people my knowledge about online marketing.
Afterwards when my blog gets bigger I will monetize it.

 

money..to live better! i don't enjoy blogging for fun as i don't see the virtual world a seductive place to spend hours on it.. for enjoyment? i don't think so.

 

I'd have to disagree. I think most do it for fun. There are tonnes of personal blogs out there just for friends and family to read etc. Travel blogs, life updates and the such.

It may seem that most do it for money because the majority of popular blogs have advertising. That's the thing though, they are popular so why not make some money while doing it.

 

At the moment I'm blogging for fun, although when it gets up and running I might turn it to profit making, we'll just have to wait and see!

 

Both. But money boosts motivation when the fun factor lags from time to time.

 

I own a Liverpool FC website. It is not a blog. I update the website with daily headlines, transfer news, videos, etc.

I am doing it because of my passion for the club. Money is just an extra-thing. Infact, I don't even make that much money, but I put in hours and hours into the website because LFC is my passion and my love.

 

I do it for money. I don't get enough motivation otherwise

Business and legal issues. I make very little from blogging. It also gives me an outlet for some of my more ridiculous moments.

Blogging is really full of fun and that's the good thing about it. But the best thing is that you can earn while having some fun!!!

 

I do it for money mainly, but also I doit for fun, I think Wordpress is simply great.

 

People who blog for fun most probably don't hang out on these kinda forums as much as those who blog for money. Everyone here, but exceptions, are after money.
