Hi, I have a blog, but there are several autoblogs that take a part of my article and publish it immediately on their autoblog website. I found out, that when I google then for the title of my article, google find that title on the autoblog, not on my site. So my question is, should I block this autoblog? Autoblog takes some excerpts and link back to my site.
Ideally autoblogs pull the content from your website from the feeds that you have activated. You may want to stop it if you are so specific. but I recommend ignoring the autoblogs as when time progresses only unique and quality content will rank higher on google..
Are they crediting the source? If they are and you are outranking them then this is good free backlinks for your website. I'd encourage it rather than discourage it. If they are ranking higher you can find the ip of their domain and block them from within cpanel or from within your htaccess file. If this does not work then you could send them an email with a ceast or desist or file a dmca complaint against them.
Ok, I found out that if I google for the title just few minutes after publishing the article, autoblog is on the first positions. But when my subpage is indexed, it is then the first one, and autoblog's page is out (I checked 3 search pages in google). So, probably it is not important to make any steps.
