How do you know when you are disobeying God?

I told you before and I'll repeat it again. By the fruits.

But what is his will, how do you know what his will is?

A Christian would say it's all found in the bible.

The fruits tell you what God has made impermissible for you?

Where can I find these fruits?

Would you torture your children for disobeying you? If not, why not?

They like symbolic language. It allows them to be vague, make a lot of noise and never actually say anything. That's the trouble with claiming to believe complete bollocks, they have a hard time when people ask them to be specific.

Throwing a blanket statement "they" shows that you are not as specific as you want others to be.
Some things are abstract, some are not. Can you see a "spirit", or a "soul" for example? Some things are better understood when explained with symbols. The symbolic language is for the adults, the direct for children.

I am being specific. I talking specifically about all religious people. It's an inherent trait of all religions and all mumbo-jumbo. Even when you talk to these new age weirdos they talk about these vague "energies" without ever stating specifically what this "energy" is.

Can you see a "unicorn" or "elf" for example? What does that tell you about unicorns and elves?

See, when things exist, whether they be invisible or not, they can be measured. Their properties can be observed. So tell me something specific about the soul or spirit.

You can't just go around asking if God will grant forgiveness, you have to be specific. God isn't purely a Christian concept, for example, and the Protestants and Episcopalians, who are both derivatives of Christians, both have different beliefs. As do the Mormons and Catholics, despite belonging to the same basic branch of faith. God, as a term, is the same name used in Judaism and Islam.

And that was just the Abrahmaic religions. Please be more specific.

I think God will forgive you only if you are accepting your fault sincerely. There is no point of asking for forgiveness when you are doing the same mistake again and again. I believe that God loves us all and is pained to see us suffer and therefore we should respect His love for us. We are part of Him and should never Hurt Him by doing sins. He knows that humans make mistake but more important is that He has given us a conscious and its our duty to ask for forgiveness with a clear heart and conscious before hoping for the blessings of the Almighty Lord.

Yeah, pretty much shows the limitations of religious people's comprehension. I'd be really interested if you can answer stOx's question above.

    i believe that
Yes god is merciful, if we did sins and ask for forgiveness god will forgive us ONLY if we ask for forgiveness with pure heart and with strong will and feeling and promises of not repeating it again...with a lot of begging.... i believe god will forgive us.

if we repeat the same sin again and ask for forgiveness again he will forgive us but after triple times of the begging we did the 1st time

of course i'm not stupid to do the sin and think that god will forgive me easy so i make it a habit of making sins and ask for forgiveness...
besides, i can't gurantee that i will live 1 second to ask for forgiveness after i finish the sin so i won't be stupid and commit a sin and plan to ask for forgiveness
cheating won't work with god because god knows what's on our minds :)
