Do you believe that cricket will cause productivity loss in Indians?

As per the article published in yahoo news, India is expected to suffer a work productivity loss to the tune of 768 million man hours due to world cup cricket.

Cricket is a game watched with passion by Asians, more so by Indians and the world cup will add more zeal to it, no doubt.

What is your opinion? Do you feel cricket will come in between you and your duty?

More at world cup cricket

I think you/the article raises an important point on how the Indians forget stuff for the time there is cricket on television and follow it like a religion. However, things have moved into a direction, where I personally believe that the Indian audiences will not be following the non-Indian games.

This means that even if India get to the final, there will be nine matches to look at in 45 days - much, much lesser than a normal ODI series between, say, India and Australia!
