soul is the software that runs the body hardware, so defenitely animals also have soul! animals have outdated softwares, but then they are OS all right!

I believe that animals have souls because they have feelings just like humans. They can be hurt, they can feel pain, they can mourn, they can be lonely. We are just a more evolved animal. We as humans would like to think that animals have no soul because we can justify our treatment of other animals. We can also rejoice in thinking that we are superior because we hold the exclusive rights of having a soul.

In some earlier cultures, mainly those who practiced the religion of Animism believed that all things had souls right down to a rock. If they were right, imagine how a rock feels when you kick it or throw. Hmm, interesting food for thought.

Do you think that an animal is conscious of itslef? If you have ever had a dog, cat, or even a horse there can be no doubt that they are conscious. They also have very distinct personalities.

 

No, animals dont have souls . According to the bible we are not allowed

I believe animals have brains that aren't as intelligent as ours. No souls involved, animal or human.

When people talk about souls I believe they're talking about morality, which can be explained by our social oriented evolution. The same goes for other animals too. Either way, when certain parts of the brain are damaged people will act "souless", it's obvious those parts of the brain control the way we respond to others.

The soul is a poetic idea that allows us to simplify morality, but semantics aside, I don't think it has any part to play in the real world.

I don't think that being alive constitutes having a soul. Personality is not synomonous with having a soul.
