Some dinosaur eyes would have been far more complex than human eyes. Our eyes can only detect a tiny piece of the electromagnetic spectrum reptiles can see a greater range, Snakes and other reptiles can even see heat. Compared to the eyes found in the rest of the animal kingdom ours are fairly basic. The T-rex had a peripheral range of 55 degrees, Even better than a hawk.
Fair enough. So why didn't dinosaurs pass down this trait? Better yet, how could an organism that close to the evolutionary origin have developed such a complex visual system?
Because they died out. Dinosaurs were on the planet and evolving long before mammals were and they were around for a much greater time than primates have been. Dinosaurs ruled the earth for 165 million years, primates first started evolving around 65 million years (and they were just primitive shrews and mice type things), and humans around 150,000 years. Also the pressure of natural selection selected better eyes in hunters such as dinosaurs and with humans, A tool making animal that relies on society and planning, Natural selection selected better brains. We simply don't need eyesight as good as theirs so natural selection has no way of developing it. For attributes to evolve two things need to happen. 1) the attribute needs to allow a species to have more babies and live longer 2) The lack of the attribute needs to cause the species to die young and produce few offspring. If neither of these happen natural selection has nothing to work with and has no way of propogating a mutation in the population. basically, Our eyes are as good as they need to be for what we do.
You guys are confused, there are parts of the bible that got lost, like when King Herod walked his pet dino to the red sea and ...
You know they had cars in those days? Acts 5:12 "and they were all with one accord in Sol′o·mon’s colonnade" Isaiah 10:29 "They have passed over the ford" Zechariah 6:14 "And the grand crown itself will come to belong to He′lem" Zechariah 9:9 "Shout in triumph" There's lot's more but can't remember them.
I hear there's a VW bug at the bottom of the Red Sea. Seems it broke down half way across when Moses parted the Sea but he just couldn't wait for a German mechanic so he left it there.
It broke down when I was on my way to the cliff to say my final goodbuys. I think it was preowned by Judas, because he had a picture with it on his blog.
You just can't rely on cars to get you where you want to go these days. Almost like those wooden cars. Those ones had a wooden body, a wooden steering wheel, wooden wheels, wooden engine, wooden seats...wooden everything. The only problem with it was it wooden go!!
