The Theory of Evolution states that monkeys and humans share a common ancestor. No credible scientist would even imply that monkeys turn into humans.

But would they be willing to give their life for this lie? Would they be inspired to go all around the world and tell everyone about it?

Exactly. By claiming that Jesus is the son of God, what are they gaining? Basically nothing. They aren't making any profit, they aren't gaining respect, they're not getting jack. They do have something in their heart that wants them to share the love they've received.

Do you believe that ALL of them would be willing to do that? Because as far as I know ALL the disciples except for one suffered rather than deny his Ressurection. The bigger question though is if the muslims are right and Jesus did not die, he would have been so weak and beaten up after the crucifixion I hardly think he would be able to inspire anyone.

As for your second point, wasn't atheism one of the main tennets of Communism. Or should I say wasn't it one of the major policy influencing factors?

You are very naive if that's the case.
I can group up 100 people and pay them to lie to people like you.
I can group up 100 people and make them see a magic trick.
I can do quite a lot with 100 people, which at the end of the day will tell you that they saw god and they saw his great miracles.

And you ofcourse will take it 'as is' and jump right into believing everything these people say.
And that, my friends, is religion for ya! ;)

    EDIT: Crap, didn't notice BribeMe's post :p

Yes i do believe in evolution, i didn't read the link supplied as im short on time and dont want anything to influence my immediate response.

I think the idea of any god at all, existing, especially to be worshipped, is absurd.

Note that this is in no way an attack or any form of disrespect towards anyone who does follow religion as i fully respect anyones choice to do as they please.

I think that religion contradicts itself to the point where alarm bells should be screaming inside your head and yourself asking why certain things dont weigh up.

I think that evolution is mostly what has brought us to our current state, i think that other things are involved too but im unsure of what.

I think that all consciousness is one and everything, that all existence, non physical, everything is all part of one, positive, negative etc.

I believe that consciousness could be suspended in space for infinity waiting for things to take place that gives life on a planet a chance to evolve.

we are talking miracles here, acts of God, bringing the dead to life, healing the sick, restoring a crippled mans legs and hands. Jesus told his followers to leave everything and follow him, he didnt pay anyone. It was quite the opposite. These people saw Gods work, and they told of it.

You were talking specifically about jesus ands the bible, So that's why i kept my reply in that context.

Like i said, You were using the contents of the bible to prove the bible to be true. it's circular logic and people on here don't fall for that kind of nonsense.

Talking of miracles, a lot of the so called miracles mentioned in the Bible and other holy books would now often be classed as magic and satanic.

In fact if you mentioned that your cabable of doing those things today you may get sectioned and not released too quickly either.

Magic, satanism and witchcraft are often frowned upon in todays world, in satanism it is about sacrifice, in other religion it is about sacrifice, kneeling before an almighty and all of that.

    Notice the connections?

If an almighty god existed for all creation, would this entity be so feeble as to insist that people worship the existence of the god.

    Thou shall not steal

Yet the vatican holds hundreds of millions of pounds in stolen artwork and other treasures, they take payments off of the mafia, they openly show nazi symbols in various key places and they hide pedophile priests, priests being some of the worst offenders.

The catholic church being one of the biggest corrupt organisations, their just an example of a contradiction on a scale that is actually off the scale. :)

You forgot to mention the other Catholic: Mother Theresa (BTW I am NOT a Catholic). To use your words she's also "an example"

Have you heard the saying, believe half of what you read and half of what you hear?

There is no solid fact that the Bible was written by anyone significant and that it was written at the time that they suggest.

It does conveniently fit in with the Illuminati controlled history and current situation though, allow me to provide an example.

I think in the book of Revelations is it? It notes that certain things wont happen and wont be allowed to happen, without the mark of the beast, 666.

Now lets look at barcodes, when your in a shop and the scanner is used to scan the barcode, it scans the left, then middle, then right number, these numbers are 666, not in an obvious way for you too see, but do some reserch into the barcoding system and you will see some interesting things.

The day will come when no trade, no transaction will be allowed without the mark of the beast?

Was the bible possibly written by a secret society that goes back to ancient times that has had a plan in place for longer than many would care to imagine?

Im not saying that anything of what im talking about is true and correct either, otherwise i would be contradicting myself, but i can throw up suggestions all day long that make you think about whats really behind a lot of things.

Saying that, anyone has a choice to ignore the flaws in religious books and tradition.

Secret society? Lay off the movies bud, its a revealation of the future given to john by God, a vision of things to come. Most of the predictions have already begun as you said.

I dont watch any movies my friend, i watch almost no tv either, so dont have that influence.

Your reaction, while perfectly normal, is classic towards anyone who points out a few things that are not quite right with religions.

Incase your mistaking what im trying to say, im pointing out that certain things "appear" to come true today, because they were already planned a very long time ago, and not that their showing the bible to be correct but rather that the bible was written to fit in with a very large plan.
