Do you realize what evidence is, you can have tons of evidence and still not have proof.(which is your case) Yes you have evidence, i can pic up a piece of paper at a crime scene and call it evidence, Its just evidence, its not proof.

What i say is based on Gods word. I believe i trump you.

Pretty much yes. My theory is that if the moon effects earth, other things will effect the moon, other things will effect that and so on till you get to the outer depts of space.

Is it really that hard to think this could be the case or are you simply playing dumb

You trump me with the scribblings of a demented bronze age goat herder? I doubt it.

I will rephrase what i previously said: "I have proof".

That is non-sequitur. it doesn't make sense to assume that because one thing is true another will be true. In this case your only reason to believe it is because it provides a reason for these other planets, And without such a reason you would have to concede that your "designer god" is an incompetent imbecile who doesn't know what he is doing.

See you haven't come to the conclusion through observation, You came to the conclusion through necessity. You have to believe the planets have an effect on us to continue to believe in a designed universe, Otherwise god would have created pointless planets for absolutely no reason. And not just a few of the, but trillions of them.

Ive already told you i dont have to believe anything other than God does what he wants, for the reasons he wants. I feel really bad for you, most people actually do believe in God, even if they do not practice any particular religion. Dening Gods existance can only leave you a really lonely person.

Anyways, dont think you know my reasons for my theory, it was just a suggestion based on observation. Im not saying thats how it is, im saying that would make since.

Looks like my idea isnt so far fetched, and it is actually a logical theory. Maybe it isnt true, but atleast i know my theory was not as crazy and impossible like you made it sound http://www.astronomy.com/ASY/CS/forums/353541/ShowPost.aspx

Exactly. you have to believe god does what he wants for the reasons he wants. because as soon as you look logically at the things your god supposedly does none of it makes any sense. So your only defence to this is to believe he simply does what he wants, With no reason. It means you don't have to contemplate a reason, And you don;t want to contemplate a reason because you know you wont find one. it;s a far fetched fabricate rationalisation.

Why would not believing in your imaginary friend make me lonely? I would say the people who need an imaginary friend are the lonely ones, is it compensation for the lack of real friends you have?

It only makes sense to you because it explains why your god would create trillions of planets that apparently have absolutely no purpose. Without it you would have to concede that your god is a moron who does stupid things for no reason, So you are forced to fabricate this bizarre rationalisation that explains why he would create the trillions of other planets incapable of sustaining life.

    STOP WASTING TIME!

Evolution debate thread, not "God is real, no it isn't", no one will be able to prove the other wrong anyways.

I find this comical....atheist people are just funny. They rant and rant until they hit death, then they cry God.
Put it this way, I don't see anyone becoming humans nowadays. Heck, we're not turning into aliens are we?
Wait, maybe another planet will hit us and we'll be another species? Who knows maybe fish next for adaptation purposes?

It's a simple equation of math:

To have B, you have to first have A. So, if B is the planet where's A? Bang? Who, when and where made it or caused it and why?

If evolution is so prominent, why all the fuss over global warming. we'll just evolve right?

Stox, the real shame is that when your judgment comes, you will not have the slightest argument at all

This is exactly why all the guffawing over Global warming is bunk. The planet isn't getting hotter. It's Al Gore's rehetoric that is melting the entire polar and sub-polar regions. If he would just STFU...Everything would be fine.

Yes. To a species that can handle a world nothing like our own, if global warming theory is correct; or to nothing at all, if we simply eviscerate the planet's ability to regenerate life. As evolution is nothing more than the incidence of a given genetic expression in a population pool for a given environment, I'd rather the environment be green than the (former) people, wouldn't you?

I didn't realise you made another ignorant misinformed statement. Allow me to address it.

For evolution to take place lot of members of the species have to die due to them not being particularly suited to the change. So even if we do manage to evolve as a species it will still result in most of us dying. Things dont just adapt over night, They need less suited genetics to be removed from the gene pool.

Now let me ask you a question. If christians go to heaven when they die why do they wear a seat belts and why is the pope surrounded by 6 inchs of bullet proof glass? Why the fuss over dying? You just go to heaven, right?

For one thing, in my state its the law. But the main reason im sure, is naturally We do not want to die, we should not be careless and stupid, not wearing a seatbelt could be looked at as suicide. we want to do Gods will. If God choses that it is our time, a seatbelt will not prevent it from happening anyway. I mean according to your logic, we should walk across the street without looking. I believe we will go when its our time, but that doesn't give us the right to be stupid and careless.

Gives you a pretty good excuse though.

it's odd that you would take so many precautions to stay alive when, for you at least, death will mean paradise and eternal happiness. it's also odd that the pope should surround himself with 6 inchs of bullet proof glass if gods will is ultimate and that death means he goes to heaven. I guess in "heaven" he wont have 200 servants, a toilet made out of solid gold and million of minions to order around.

See the trouble i have is that what you do often contradicts what you say you believe. It leads me to think that you don't actually believe what you say. Like Dan Dennett said, Most people don't believe in god, they believe in the belief of god.
