Missionaries, is part of their job not to go to places where the religion is not practiced and force it down the throats of natives who dont want it? From Africa to Australia, the jungles of south america to the most remote islands, you will hear of how they took christianity to the locals, the natives requested that help? Tribes and people who coped just fine living very minimal lives, free from western diseases, but what did westerners and missionaries take to them? Thats right disease, unwanted religion, rape and education that has no place in their customs and ancient survival skills, now sadly becoming forgotten because the old traditions are not passed onto the new generations, the westernised, baptised, sterilised generations. Missionaries, tut tut.

Someone earlier, I thing ssandecki, Said that they wished there was a god. While i would like there to be a Deist god, The idea of the christian god abhors me. Not only are we forced to abide by this gods rule on earth or face eternal hell but we are also forced in to continual worship after we die. Hitchens likened it for a celestial dictatorship, But he said at least in north Korea you get to die. The Deist god has no influence, makes no rules, Gives no punishment and doesn't take sides in wars, the christian god however seems to relish in the ability to punish you for eternity for crimes as simple as disbelieving while forgiving you for raping and murdering children. The christian god takes sides in wars, He randomly grants the prayers of some wholly unworthy people while ignoring the real victims and when it;s all done, As your reward, You get to lay the floor in front of him with rose petals and worship him for eternity. no thanks. Give me hell any day, it sounds a lot more fun.

Well unfortunately you dont really get to choose what God satisfies your own worldly lusts. You want hell for eternity? Pick up a lighter and light it, now hold your hand over the flame, lets see how long you can keep it there. Not very long huh. Now imagine keeping it there for eternity, now imagine it being your whole body. You prefer hell over worshiping your creator? Suit yourself

You say you have read the bible, yet you associate things like this with true Christianity. If you have read the bible, specifically the new testament, you will know what Christianity is about. When do you plan on responding to my question. On the specific article that you claim is corrupt. You disqualify all Christian related documentation. therefore indicating a closed mind. How could one even begin to debate with someone that disqualifies all Christianity with out regard to the contents. As i thought, you have no reason or source to back up your theory that the report is corrupt. Just because one grape is bad, it doesn't destroy the vine. That seems to be the logic though, you seem to think that just because a few bad men claiming to be Christians made mistakes, that all Christians are just as corrupt. Now thats a flawed logic and would explain why you believe the ludicrous theory of evolution
What makes more sense.... 1. Everything was create by a so called god, who is alone in his own "existance". 2. Life evolved over billions of years. You do realize that EVERYTHING the universe is made out of is the same stuff basicly your made out of, so is it that hard to think that things evolved from each other?
to me number 1 makes the best since. even if evolution is correct and true, that (as i have been told by those in this thread) takes you down to one cell. Where did that cell come from?
