You can buy traffic as long as you know that you know that your money is not wasted. Therefore you must know the people you want to click your website. If you will make other people do it then it might be lesser traffic for your website since most of them do not do what really you required them to.

No, never. Do not buy any traffic specially if you are using adsense to monetize your site. Google will definitely track it and penalize you. Better to be focused on getting pure organic traffic from search engines.

I dont think buying traffic is a direction probably it helps a bit, rather i think good SEO, some good and effective article, quality links, good promotion and adding ppc could help to get traffic more. Do you think is there any other effective way to increase traffic?

I was bought traffic for a very cheap price. To my surprise, I didn't get any clicks on my ads or any signups to my website. From then on out, I knew that I was the one that needed to go out and get my referrals and traffic.

i bought traffic on my other websites but i soon learned that 98% of them were scamms. I only buy ad banners or links on other peoples websites now and do my own blog commenting to get backlinks. Ask yourself if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is a scamm but like me i had to find out for myself.

In my experience buying traffic has proven to be useless. If you could find targetted traffic then it may be of some use.

Other than that, the only thing it is good for is inflating statistics.

No never.. what is the essence of SEO? Isn't it creating
backlinks for your website naturally.. and buying links is
prohibited by Google. You can used the Adwords Campaign
if you want to pay for your ads.. :)

I buy traffic and I don't see the problem. The only problem is with people bitching that their $12 for 50,000 visitors does not convert. To me, anything under $1 per 1000 visits is non-converting traffic. Not useless traffic, since it can have a use. Just non-converting traffic. If I want to lower my CTR, I would use this traffic. I have some sites that generate a lot of overseas traffic, and I'll use cheap US popunder traffic to smooth the geo displacement.

There are ligit companies that charge $3-8 per 1000 and are actual converting traffic (either for adsense, affil, signups etc) Whether or not the conversion rate is high enough that you turn a profit is another story.

I wouldn't buy any traffic. I think it's only made up robotic traffic and not real targeted customers that you will get.

Building real traffic is much better. Ads promising like 10000 clicks a day are fake traffic I would say...

Be careful with those hype ads and sites..

Buying traffic isn't as dangerous and "scammy" as everyone here makes it seem. There are many legitimate ways to buy traffic and AOD (audience on demand) is becoming a very hot topic/market in the industry (ie: being able to buy a specific audience vs. just advertising on a site that has a close demo to the audience you want). There are many legitimate sites and ad exchanges that facilitate this process.

No never bought one, but may consider it for some of my future project where I just wanted a traffic regardless of whether it'll converts or not.

But isn't PPC the same as buying traffic in a sense (you pay money for every person who visit your site)?

Purchased traffic is usually a scam or does not result in what you expected to happen.

Instead of just posting this, please tell us why too. I've seen a dozen posts like these in this thread and it pisses me off ;)

Please make a simple list why we shouldn't buy it -- that's when your posts will become worth reading ;)
